Umbria’s finest hill towns
We walk through olive groves, famous vineyards and high flower-filled meadows of the Apennines, to spend each night in a wonderfully preserved, small, walled medieval town – each with Roman sites, ancient alleys and fine churches, some with magnificent frescoes.
We travel from the ancient walled city of Todi, through medieval Montefalco and Roman Spello, then descend along a path, regularly used by St Francis, to the historic city of Assisi, visiting its fine monuments and religious sites.
