A journey through (what most Portuguese will tell you is) the most beautiful area of Portugal. Wild, ancient granite mountains, remote villages, granite paths with trellised and trailing vines, olive groves, mountain pastures, fertile valleys with clear rivers, the vineyard-covered Douro Valley and its wide river, down which we sail in a Rabelo – traditional vessels used for carrying port wines down to Porto.
