Saturday Charity Walks
Saturday Charity Walks

On several weekends throughout the year we offer Saturday Charity Walks in some of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the country. The aim of these walks is to meet you, and for you to meet each other and raise some money for the Ad Terrae Gloriam Trust for the environment.

The style is relaxed and social, an opportunity to meet like-minded people who also enjoy walking. Those who have not been on an ATG trip can hear first-hand what it is really like from those who have travelled with us before.

Each walk starts from somewhere that offers a range of good accommodation, so those travelling from a distance can stay the night if they wish. We will send you a list of accommodation when you book.

We will meet between 9.00am and 10.00am, with the first group leaving at 9.00am. Each group will walk with an ATG leader and will be met by a team of ATG Managers with a hot picnic lunch at around 1.00pm.

Afternoon Tea will be served at around 4.30pm and will be accompanied by a short, optional presentation.

Where walks are not circular, we will transport you back to the starting point (and your car) at the end.

Ad Terrae Gloriam Trust
Apart from enjoying a day walking in the country, the purpose of our Saturday Charity Walks is also to raise money for the ATG Trust. Its stated aims are to contribute towards conservation projects in the areas that we visit, organised in co-operation with local communities - to give something back, so that the best countryside in the world may still be enjoyed by our descendents.
